Itinerary
Day 1 :
Flight to Bahir Dar - Lake Tana - Boat Ride - Island Monasteries, Blue Nile Fall
<p>Flight to Bahir Dar (0700-0800 or 0810-1010). Welcome by our guide and minivan for airport transfer. Check into a hotel (if rooms are ready). Drive to Lake Tana, take a boat ride & visit to the medieval period island monasteries (Azua Mariam &Ura Kidane Mihret: beautiful mural paintings, religious books & sacred) on Lake Tana.Lunch break. Drive to and visit to the Blue Nile Fall (30 Km). Return to Bahir Dar. Dinner. Overnight in a hotel in Bahir Dar</p>
Day 2 :
Drive to Gondar - Royal Castles - Debre Birhan Selassie Church
<p>Break fast in hotel. Drive to Gondar (180 km). Arrival Gondar. Check into a hotel (if rooms are ready). Lunch break. Visit to the Royal Castles (built in the 17th Century A.D.), the Bath of Emperor Fasiledes, and the Historic Debre Birhan Selassie Church. Dinner. Overnight in a hotel in Gondar.</p>
Day 3 :
Flight to Lalibela - Rock-hewn Monolithic Churches of Lalibela
<p>Breakfast in hotel. Flight to Lalibela (0945-1015). Welcome by our guide and minivan for a drive to Lalibela town (25 Km). Check into a hotel (if rooms are ready). Visit to the eleven rock-hewn monolithic (carved from a single rock) churches of Lalibela (UNESCO World heritage site, with magnificent architecture & paintings inside the churches). Lunch break. Time at leisure. Dinner.Overnight in hotel in Lalibela.</p>
Day 4 :
Flight to Axum - Steale of Axum - Queen Sheba’s Palace - St. Mary of Zion Church
<p>Breakfast in hotel. Flight to Axum (1035-1115). Welcome by our guide and minivan for airport transfer. Check into a hotel (if rooms are ready).</p><p>Visit to the Steale of Axum, the Inscription of Ezana, Queen Sheba’s Palace. Lunch break. Visit the famous St. Mary of Zion Church, ruins of ancient palaces (built until 4th century A.D.). Dinner.Overnight in a hotel in Axum.</p>
Day 5 :
Flight to Addis
<p>Breakfast in hotel. Time at leisure. Transfer to the airport for a flight back to Addis (1000-1130 or 1630-1750). Welcome at the airport. Drop off to your destination.</p>
